Are you planning something and don’t know anyone who can create snazzy posters? Are you getting married soon and want unique invitations? Maybe you’re just hosting the coolest party ever and you need the coolest flyers. Whatever the case may be, satisfaction is guaranteed with Graphfx Designs. The owner of that small business is the very first person I go to when I need a design for something. He even created my blog’s logo.
Decoby Askew, the owner of Graphfx Designs, is absolutely amazing at creating something great out of nothing. The possibilities are endless as his ‘creative juices’ are always flowing. He loves to design, and for a good reason.
Here are a few of his designs:
There is nothing in this world that he can’t create. All you have to do is tell him what you want or what you’re interested in. He’s made all kinds of designs for all kinds of things. He even designs the logos for other businesses.
I interviewed the owner of this incredible company so that you can see for yourself why there is no one better to choose for your next project.
Q: WHAT DESIGN SERVICES DO YOU PROVIDE?
Print design (flyers, business cards, cd/mixtape covers, invitations, etc) and logo design. Web design coming soon.
Q: HOW MUCH DO YOUR DESIGNS COST?
It depends on the project. A $25 deposit is to be paid before any design work begins. Please feel free to contact me with your design details for a price quote.
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FINISH A PROJECT (DESIGN TURNAROUND)?
Generally 24-48 hours.
Q: DO YOU OFFER PRINTING AND SHIPPING? HOW MUCH?
Yes. However, printing and shipping fees vary depending on the type of project and the quantity of prints requested.
Q: How long have you been designing? Drawing?
I have been drawing since I was 6 years old. I have been designing off and on since high school, but I didn’t get serious about it until 3 years ago.
Q: What’s your specialty?
My specialties are promotional flyers and logos. I love doing promotional print work.
Q: What do clients need to provide?
Before I start a project for a client, I will provide a free consultation. This gives the potential client an opportunity to give me all information that they would like on their project. Specific colors, pictures, names and numbers.
Q: Who owns the design once it’s finished and paid for?/Who will own the copyright?
After the project is complete, the client will own the rights to the finished product.
Q: Do you have a contract with your clients?
No, I do not have a contract with my clients. However, I do require a small deposit fee of $25 in order for me to begin a project. Sometimes events get cancelled or people may change their mind about what they want. Therefore, deposits are safety for me and my valuable time.
Q: What can you do?
I can do print design, logo design, company branding, photo retouching and restoration, and image manipulation. I can also create vector and raster images.
Q: What is your experience with designing for websites?
Currently, I do not web design. That is a direction that I am going to move toward next.
Q: What has been your most interesting project
I have had so many amazing projects come my way, but I must say that my most interesting project was designing a logo for a local Indianapolis, Indiana business, Personal Tux LLC. The owner has been in business for a few years, but never had a logo to draw more interest into her company. She came to me with an idea of incorporating a tie in the logo somehow. I created a logo with a script and serif font, while incorporating a bowtie as the “X” in tux. She was in love with the design and showered me with praise. I love it when my designs connect to exactly to what the client is looking for.
Regardless of how big or small your project is, Decoby Askew is dedicated to bringing your vision to life. Don’t wait any longer to see your vision unravel. Contact him now for inquiries. Trust me, you’ll be happy you did.
